Back in the bad old days when print ruled, heads would roll if someone made a spelling mistake in a headline or a sub-head. They would roll even faster if said sub-head was for an above the fold story. Today? Not so much, I guess. I swear there’s a joke about CanWest’s editorial cuts and/or buyouts and the resulting loss in quality control here somewhere.

    Funny, yes, except the screen grab is from the website, not the paper, and this story isn’t on the front page of today’s Gaz. Given the speed with which webhits are posted and then subsequently edited, this isn’t that big of a deal.

    Not surprizing that more and more anglos are reading La Presse instead of The Gazette, the same way they’re switching from CBC to RDS and RDI or BBC World. One is remote-conrolled from Winnipeg, the other from Trawna (they all sound like Americans on CBC now, anyway). Anglo media are getting to be like a lobotomy with a rusty spoon.
