BTC: Possibly the most dramatic shift in public opinion in the history of modern polling

Less than two weeks ago, the National Post had public opposition to Dr. Morgentaler’s appointment at a robust 92%. But Angus Reid now puts support for the award at 60%.

No doubt those grand populists who denounced this betrayal of the Canadian people will be soon filing amendments to their previously stated opinions.

    Both of them are online polls. I don’t take online polls that seriously because they are too easy to game. I think the majority of Canadians support abortion being available but not as easily as it is now.

    Don’t forget that the other Reid, Ipsos-Reid, had support at 65% for Morgentaler receiving the Order of Canada – and it was ironically commissioned by Canwest, where most of the supposed “massive” opposition to Morgentaler is coming from.
