By popular demand – at least, if anyone is demanding it. This may be the last committee meeting ever, so enjoy the antics while you can!

Once again, I see that I am in grave danger of becoming entirely redundant, which is just … neat. Awesome job, ITQites – miss you all madly – and I’m flying home tomorrow night, which means I’ll be back on the job by Friday, although who knows if there will be any meetings left to cover. It’s not like there won’t be opportunities for electoral liveblogging, right?

The amateurs can hold the fort so well for only so long, KO. Welcome back in advance, pro!

Thanks for the attempt, but you are not Kady.. Please return soon.

So, in the event of an election call, will we all gather with Red Bulls and date squares and delicious white wine somewhere in the Market to reminisce about the good old days?

Maybe they could have a meeting about nothing at all in your honour. Motion to create an agenda, points of order about whether there’s a need to make the motion, amendments to the motion, points of order about not being able to amend motions that haven’t been tabled, challenges to the chair for not entertaining the points of order about not being able to amend motions that haven’t been tabled, schedule of deadlines for submiting witness lists, motions to limit the number of witnesses on each list, lectures to the chair about impartiality, lectures from the chair about how the public is watching. It could go on for hours.

In the event of an election call, maybe Kady could chaperone a riding-by-riding live-blogging of candidates’ debates, live-blogged by her loyal readers. Then, as many ridings as possible will have somebody’s we can get to know before only one per riding gets elected to the House as a nobody MP. “Nobody,” that is, until they start to join parliamentary committees…

    Madeyoulook, that’s an AWESOME idea!

    Can I borrow a blackberry?

If our Decider can wait until after the long weekend (still better than 50:50), we always have the Culture Cuts Cttee meeting on Tuesday. Witness list comes out on Friday. Someone should distribute copies (along with Red Bull&vodkas and date squares) at D’Arcy’s and Yesterday’s. w00t!

Call back to André Arthur’s questions for Big and Small Oil: Does that carbon tax angle of his mean that he’s joining the Tory fold when the campaign* begins?

    * Which, you have to admit, has already been in full swing for at least a week now? (And are Joe & Jane Lunchbox paying attention?)
