This was the most realistic Coen Bros. movie I've seen - that is, the most dependent on their powerful realism as opposed to plot. The plot turns entirely on the characters' misunderstanding of what's going on, but those misunderstandings are not at all surreal, they're very much derived from who the people are. Definitely a movie that wouldn't have worked without all-star actors making the brilliant dialogue sound natural. Unbelievable script, superb directing and editing (the timing is superb), no real point and absolutely no "message," but funny has hell.

Sounds like something Wells would write, just change the names of the principal characters.
