Next time, though, guys, you should really consider ITQ’s suggestion to do the whole thing by Google Chat — not only do you get an instant transcript of the discussion for free, but it’s far less demanding of your full attention than the phone, even:

    Photo op only and you think sarcasm isn’t called for? Now, if they were talking about taking Kady’s picture, I’d agree. But I think they are referring to an opportunity to get a picture of Harper (talking on the phone…yipee) to add to the 12 on his calendar, the 26 on his xmas card, the 28 in his platform, the 37 in the hallway, the 53 at the convention,…. Sarcasm is exactly what is called for.

    Well, look at that Kady. You got scooped. The Globe is running an absolutely breathtaking photo of Harper talking on the phone with the caption “Prime Minister Stephen Harper talks to the first ministers of Canada during a conference call from his office in the Langevin Block in Ottawa on Monday.” and just where is your photo?

    Btw, it’s just a regular old-fashioned looking black handset – I guess they didn’t want Harper upstaged.
