Kady - Howard Beale-ish?
You mean - you felt like sticking your head out of the window - in this weather?
Seems to me - the only thing coming out of this is - a) Ignatieff is going to have to work his Ex- McGuinty aides to the limit - because Dalton appears to be snuggling closer to Harper than Iggy might wish and b) Charest seems to be trying to take over Hugo William's Bad Boy image - slagging Harper unmercifully!
I'm not sure if that helps or hinders Iggy in the short term.

The Canadian media seems to be afraid of hair-raising stories
so the U.S. is the next best comparison.
Here we go.
Creepy combovers. Macabre toupees. Misadventures in gel.

I think we need to take some cues from the last election down south. Southwestern Saskatchewan could use some more bridges. Maybe we could solve two traffic issues here in Regina & build bridges over the potholes. (Note to people thinking of moving west to find work: you think Montreal has bad drivers . . .)

Harper could use the subway challenge himself.

Why doesn't anyone promise infrastructure goodies to Alberta? I hear they're crumbling worse than Montreal. Several decades of right-wing government or something like that. Or do you only throw money at people who might not vote for you?

Government promising money and taking a long time to deliver isn't exactly a CPC invention (I think the U of R is still waiting for building funds promised by Uncle Jean before his last successful run for PM), but Party Chairman Harper has certainly raised it to a gala-worthy art form of its own.

Being in the finance/accounting field, I know a dozen or so folks who do contracts for the federal government. I don't think any of us have actually received a regularly scheduled payment less than six weeks late under the CPC government. (& don't even get me started on program payments such as CAIS--I've been rant-free for at least a week) Any bets on how long non-regular, one-time payments take to come?

What I'm kind of wondering is if this inability to pay bills on time just incompetent political micro-managing from the PMO, or have they misplaced a bunch of designated funds?

Gordon Campbell appears to be lecturing Canadians that we do not need an election at this time.

Silly, Gordon. We, the electorate have not wanted the last few elections!

Nor, did we want our Parliament prologued.

Politicians.

Harper looks bloated and angry.

Can`t see this guy cooperating with anybody.

1:41:08 PM
"Someone asks about the longstanding dispute over construction workers moving between Ontario and Quebec; under this agreement, it will go through a new dispute resolution process."

Same old, same old. And will take forever to set up the "new" rules of the resolution process.

1:39:25 PM
"Doer promises “interesting disagreements” over credentials."

So much for "speeding" up things & making changes. Gah!

It's a hat, made of human hair, that is turtle-waxed into place and stored in the fridge.

It could be nothing else.

And the Mount Royal Cross has a burnt out light bulb, fourth from the top on the right side. Since this and everything on Bruno's list are sooooo obviously federal matters, it is a shame Harper hasn't called the municipal electrician himself to authorize the overtime. What are we waiting for, a depression? Move, people, move!

Hi Kady,

I just hope they remember that Montreal needs:

- bridges improvements and even replacement;
- road improvement;
- more subway stations;
- more metro lines;
- reform Berri-UQAM subway stations;
- new trains;
- improve traffic management system;
- fix potholes;
- etc, etc, etc...

And so for Toronto and Vancouver.

Cheers.

...wearing the same coat and scarf....? Hmmm.....so that's where he's been hiding out.

We really need to get this toupee issue straightened out - let's have a contest, raise some money for the poor or something. Does he or doesn't he - that is the question.

Flaherty only owns one tie? He could pick a nicer green.

Man, I'm sorry. I don't know why I get so cynical on your blogs, Kady. I do hope that out of these meetings we see workers who get put back to work so they don't end up losing their homes and lasting improvements to infrastructure.

Is it the same toupee?
The toupee costs $23,000.00.
Would a person with an image
problem, like Harper, have more than
one? Only his beauty asviser knows
for sure and she's not talking.
Kady should call her up and
ask her to go on a girls' night out.

"can’t seem to get over the Prime Minister’s interview with the National Post’s John Ivison, in which he - the PM, not Ivison - hinted that middle class tax cuts may be on the way."

Is the tv reporter happy or appalled about middle class tax cuts?

And did the FMM start earlier than normal? I thought these type of get-togethers started at a more civilized hour than 8:00 am.
