Wow, no offense Scott, but I do not usually consider you a vocabulary building resource – unless “vocabulary” is narrowly defined as words for boobs. But “deiced” was new to me. I don’t even know how to pronounce it. Was it deest? Diced? Dee-sed? So I typed it into Google, and those smug bastards tried to convince me that I meant “decided”. And I said to them “No! No google! Deiced, dammit!”. Apparently it has to do with ice melting.

Oh this is embarrassing, but just before I submitted this comment, I realised that it probably has something to do with combining the word “ice” and the prefix “de”. God help me.

Also would it hurt so much to practice that genuine smile look a bit in the mirror. Perhaps hire a ‘smile coach’…

I think the picture currently at the top of this post deserves a caption contest, especially since Mr Harper’s hair looks like he just stood in a wind tunnel (by comparison to his usual style). Do you see that bit over his left eye – completely out of place.

For example: “The president and prime minister look to the audience for votes on who has the best pursed lips”

or
“While Obama gazes over the crowd of attendees, Mr Harper looks to his handlers to see if he can leave now.”

I’ve had an very enjoyable day monitoing this post to keep track of the most memorable and important moments of “the Visit”
