My wrap was yummy, however. And so far it’s staying down.

Say hi to Julie at Brixton’s for me.

  • Critical Reasoning

Apparently they’re going to start delivering wraps for just a dollar extra.

I think I spent too much time in England because there is no way would I eat at restaurant with the word ‘toss’ in its name. Connotations of the word are just too disturbing.

    • Mulletaur

Also, “le tossing” is very disturbing in French. Just saying.

  • matt

uhhh…tossed salad, anyone? That logo looks like lettuce.

  • dB

I was just thinking that downtown Ottawa needed another sandwich shop. Hopefully they’ll open some new dry cleaners as well.

  • matt

And now we know why the previous post was “Stimulus” with the tag “balls”.

In the late 1960′s and early 1970′s there was a cafe in my home town in northern Ontario called the Rocket Lunch. It was a huge hit with hippies, most of whom were stranded hitchhikers, who enjoyed having their photo taken in front of the neon rocket sign. Many jokes of the “just try to keep it down” variety, etc.

    Best. Muffins. Ever.

    Really.

Please complete my life and tell me that is a salad bar on Davie Street, that would be just so epic.

    • JennyC

That would be…unfortunately, it’s a salad bar on Sparks Street.

      • L.E.V.

Sparks? Good penis street. Although in the winter it is awfully hard on the penis, and the wind?

(Hey, we’re all liberals and SNL fans here, yes?)

  • Lord Kitchener’s Own

    LOL

    The tag, the tag!!!!

    • http://www.maple-leaf-forever.com Lord Bob

I’m mostly disappointed this is the only post so far using that tag.

I also love how there are ChristmasHoliday lights up still?

I see the strikeout coding does not work here…

    Keep us posted.

LOL – talk about marketing – it’s being noticed.

My mother had a history of ulcers and her gastrinal specialist’s name was Dr. Belch. I kid you not.

  • Dave

My colleague’s brother is a dentist.

    Dr. Paine.

  • John Geddes

Any Torontonians able to tell me if Icarus Air Travel is still in business out on the Greek part of the Danforth?

    • Derek Pearce

Indeed it is! I live a few blocks north of the Danforth near Pape, and had a wee chuckle the first time I saw that name. Heh, it’s the fact they emphasize “Air” travel that makes me laugh.

I remember in the 90s an Economist article discussing newly privatized former Soviet airlines– the best two names on the list were Chance, and Touch ‘n’ Go.

As for Toss it Up– I hope they don’t serve cookies…

    My other favourite Ottawa restaurant:

    Al Pacino Lebanese Food.
