In an utterly predictable turn of events, impeached Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich is set to star in a reality show. The disgraced politician has been tapped to join  NBC’s  summer series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, on which he’ll be one of 10 people dropped into the Costa Rican rain forest where they’ll test their wilderness skills and raise money for their favorite charities. There’s one catch, however: the federal judge presiding over Blagojevich’s corruption case has to agree to lift his travel restrictions.

“What we have here is……….failure to communicate.” It seems daily there are examples of how we are totally losing touch with true reality. No one seems to be making much fuss over the fact that we are teaching our children that life is illustrated by reality TV and fact is shared by Wikepedia. It is certainly not unexpected that TV would glorify scum like Blagojevich by doing everything possible to make sure that everyone is aware of him, but that doesn’t make it any less abhorent.
