Les sourcils

I confess my French isn’t quite good enough to fully understand everything that’s going on here. I gather, though, that this is some of this century’s finest political journalism.

Well, then, it’s a bloody good thing taxpayers keep forking over their hard-earned $ to the CBC / SRC for this fine, serious contribution to the democratic conversation in this country, n’est-ce pas?

A few more shows like this will lead to a PR coup for Ignatieff in Quebec.

  • DisplacedCanadian

    That was pretty damn hilarious.

They oughta do a piece on Harper’s hair helmet. In the interest of equal time on publicly-funded television, of course!

Don’t forget the eyeliner and lip liner Harper wears. Take a look at Harper’s photos – eyeliner and lip liner and that gawd awful hair.

Presumably the above sentence is a joke, as Infoman is a comedy programme, and is no more or less watchable than any other programming masquerading as entertainment on Canadian television (which is to say not very watchable at all).

      Well, duh.

I think it’s a good sign for Ignatieff that, even though his French is obviously not terrific, he clearly understands everything that’s said to him and can even make jokes — never easy in a second language. Besides the general bonhomie of allowing one’s eyebrows to be turned into a 4-minute gag.

Well, it’s no skinny dip with Mercer, but point taken.

J’espère qu’ils épellent mon nom de famille correctement.

Another softie blog posting of Aaron pimping his Liberal friends

Oh geez – here we go. Sob, whine and cry. Harper won’t deal with Canadian press. Don’t you understand that?

      Want a violin?

  • dan in van

Well Peter, if your Conbot of a leader didn’t put the press in the penalty box from the minute-go of his mandate you might be able to see a few more interest-angle stories about Harper and clan. However, since they only meet in hiding and only offer glimpses of scripted, mapped-out meetings/hand shakings, and never miss an opportunity to punish a perceived slight, whether real or imagined, I dare say CONs have helped created this Iggy comfort zone…

Yeah, I’m sure Aaron is interested in balance…..

How exactly is he supposed to force Harper to become warm and fuzzy with the Canadian media? When “This Hour has 22 minutes” had the Single Woman Voter show up to give Harper a chance, he had her arrested. I mean come on! How is one supposed to have unscripted fun with THIS Prime Minister?

Previous leaders have stood their ground and took the jokes and the poking fun in the spirit in which it was intended, and for that they earn a warm place in many Canadian viewers hearts. Harper could learn a little something about humanity, and the ability to laugh at one’s self.
