Q: Why is Michael Ignatieff still in Canada?

A: Because Ruby Dhalla’s holding his passport.

I always wondered what Tory humour would look like.

    • http://www.stephentaylor.ca Stephen Taylor

      Better than Vogon poetry!

      • James Connors

The post and your response merely underline the oxymoron in the title.

      • http://www.jackmitchell.ca Jack Mitchell

Ah, I learned something by googling that! Of course, no Vogon can compete with the immortal William McGonagall, whose immortal Ode to the Queen on Her Jubilee Year I enjoyed yesterday.

  • Wayne

ROFL : and Bob Rae is holding his jacket!

  • Andrew (not Potter or Coyne)

    I give it a 4/10. Small chuckle.

  • Mike T.

    Could be worse.

Stock Day could be calling people pedophiles again!

    • Jarrid

Where’s your sense of humour this morning Mike T.?

It’s a good partisan joke and on that score it’s a pretty good one.

…says the guy who’s still upset about Warren Kinsella making a joke about Stockwell Day’s creationist leanings a decade after the fact.

Honestly, if Conbots ever showed any kind of intellectual coherence just between two thoughts, it’d be a major evolutionary step for them. But for that to work, they’d have to believe in evolution, and that’s never going to happen.

“ever showed any kind of intellectual coherence just between two thoughts”

          — wish I’d said that. Good summation.

      • Mike T.

        It was kind of funny.

But making fun of Stock Day is never inappropriate!

  • R Keller

OK, I laughed. But why is Macleans providing a platform for partisan hacks?

    • Pierre

Which one, Stephen Taylor or Scott Feschuck?

    • Mike T.

It is kind of odd that this would be the sum total of Taylor’s third post in about a year or so (corrections welcome, but he posts very seldom).

They must be very proud of this little “gem” indeed.

  • catherine

As a partisan joke, 4/10 at best. This is not going to get laughs around the world, like Harper’s toilet briefing did.

    • Jarrid

James Conners, Andrew, Mike T., catherine, all Liberal partisan commenters, give a Tory partisan joke a failing grade.

Folks, your blind partisanship is making you a forest of sticks in the mud.

Lighten up, there is life beyond partisanship.

      • Pierre

If a joke makes you laugh, it gets a passing grade. This one’s a good one, no?

        • Critical Reasoning

          It’s definitely chuckle-worthy.

  • Scott M.

6/10… bonus points included for being topical.

  • The Stewart

    Mike T is a girl

  • cam

    funny. a Taylor original?

This is Taylor we’re talking about. Has he ever written anything that wasn’t approved by CPC HQ?
