Anatomy of a Prime Minister

Kevin Gaudet is unimpressed. And your Saturday morning Globe gets a bit racy.

Mr. Gaudet was particularly critical of Mr. Harper, who started his political career as a Reform Party MP and served as the head of the right-wing National Citizens Coalition in Calgary before becoming Conservative Party leader.

“Mr. Harper may left his balls out West when it comes to taking a principle stand against bailing out this industry like he used believe in,” he said.

“No level of government, no taxpayer should be bailing out the pension plan, or anything of the company. It’s ridiculous,” he said. “And their hairsplitting won’t matter a whit to those taxpayers who have no pension plan.”

So Dahlton tosses in Ontario taxpayer big bucks to bail out the GM pension fund,
and PM Harper gets attacked for it.
Being attacked by a very right winged organization is a bad thing?

    next on the agenda:
    Canadian economy turns around,
media give Iffy credit for it, because we all know that the Government of Canada’s Economic Action Plan was never a plan, Harper had no plan, he has missmanaged the economy,
    right?

You might be taken seriously, Wilson, if you weren’t so immature and disrespectful.

Immature is right. Wilson goes all over the blogosphere with “name calling like Iffy” and using her/his PM approved talking points.

So, if you called Harper – Harpercrite or something Wilson would be oh so offended.

Anything to avoid talking about his so-called leader’s balls-less-ness…

  • Hmmm

Never thought I’d wake up one morning and agree with the Cdn Taxpayers’ Federation…

I see that as a perfect excuse to roll over and go back to sleep.

“Mr. Harper, who started his political career as a Reform Party MP and served as the head of the right-wing National Citizens Coalition in Calgary before becoming Conservative Party leader.”

Actually I think he was a Young Liberal, then a Progressive Conservative, and THEN he ran out in front of the Reform parade.

I gather that this kind of willful amnesia is necessary in order to maintain the fantasy that there is a substantial difference between political parties and that politicians are motivated by ideals and not by opportunism.

One day Al we’ll all see that you were right. Course by then it wont matter a damn!
