Don't make Iggy angry

by Aaron Wherry on Monday, May 25, 2009 12:48am - 17 Comments

You wouldn’t like Iggy when he’s angry. Just ask Peter. Very briefly at the 1:48 mark (Peter reappears again for a second or two at 1:52).

And now, lest you think the Late Show was all about British people getting cross with each other… Blur!

    Got any digitized 8 mms?

In fairness, the hairstyles of that era would make anybody angry.

LOL Aaron. That was great! And i thought the Americans had all the best prima donnas! Anyone know who Hitchens [ was it him?] was duelling with?[ American]
Iggy was leading by following i see. Does anyone seriously wonder where monty python got all that material from?
ah well, it’s just as well we can’t al look back on how we were then – we’d die of embarrassment ,wouldn’t we.

And you got all that from 3 seconds of tape. Good job!

Thankyou kindly. But i am a Brit [orignally] and it was…gulp…my time…well almost. If that had of been a US or Canadian show from then [ or even now] i wouldn’t have got a thing.

You mean Pierre Salinger? He was fairly prominent on both sides of the Atlantic as for his eyes-and-ears stuff into american politics.

Was the other guy Hitchens? Sure looked like him.

This tape is an object lesson, and i mean object, in why we should not, ever, take life too seriously.

Real Canadians don’t pronounce it “pat-ronizing.”

    • Jean Proulx

It would be useful if we could set up some kind of identification system so that we could easily distinguish the real Canadians from the fake ones. Perhaps tattoos? Or sewing some kind of symbol on the clothing of the imposters?

        RFIDs implanted at birth.

A lot of Canadians pronounce things different from other Canadians. All of them are real Canadians.

I’m pretty sure Madonna ceased becoming American as soon as she had lived in London long enough to start having a British accent.

In cyberspace, no one can hear you being sarcastic.

Geez – depends where you’re from. Newfoundlanders don’t talk like Albertans, etc.

That guy losing his cool at the end is the proud pa of Lily Allen.

    “Peter” looks like Bubbles.

Someone’s gonna have to explain the Bubbles reference to Iggy. In an un-pah-tronizing way.
