Meeting at Sussex has wrapped up. The Prime Minister and Mr. Ignatieff will talk again in the morning. No word on whether a sleepover is involved.

The official statement from the Liberal side confirms that this second meeting was also “productive.” The Prime Minister’s spokesman seconds this adjective.

        From what I understand, Harper's hair needs to be off his head by 8:00 for the night crew to strip, varnish and buff for the next day. Also, I think he smiled twice today, so his face must be exhausted.

      Or, Harper's drawing things out a bit so there's no speculation he was curt and dickish about things. Also a sensible move.

      Sometimes, though, I miss the Mulroney approach where negotiations resembled something of a hostage situation.
