The problem for Rae in Sri Lanka was his association with the federal Liberal Party of Canada, an amoral entity that actively colluded with the Tamil Tiger terrorist group in order to safeguard 13 GTA ridings. He was warmly welcome as head of the Forum of Federations but was kicked out after he led the Liberal chorus that tried to rescue the Tiger leadership during the endgame. Clever wordsmith Rae is playing victim for all its worth but he knows exactly what happened.

I second the motion. In both education and experience the Liberal caucus far surpasses the mediocrities in the CPC. The best they can do is a mediocre economist who has never held a real life job. The conservative talent pool is very shallow indeed … more of a puddle.

Mr.Lakshman Kadirgamar was not a moderate Tamil as writer claims.He was aTamil just for name sake.He didn't speak a word of Tamil.He spoke fluent Sinhalese .He didn't have any interest what so ever on Tamil issues.

Foreign minister-in-waiting, I hope not. This is the man who brought "Tamil moderates" to Canada so to seek funds for the Tigers and to protest the demise of the LTTE. Is Sri Lanka one of Canada's biggest concerns, especially compared to the Americas, Austral-Asia, Europe and the US? It would seem silly to have a foreign minister that dislikes our largest and closest partner.

I realize that the Liberals have a very weak bench but surely they can find someone more realistic than Boob Rae. Plus don't let him touch any money.
