The Prime Minister is hosting Conservative MPs at Harrington Lake this evening (thanks taxpayers!). Blake Richards twitters the festivities.

I'll need a tweet confirmation from Kenny or Moore.

Later tonight they'll all be standing on the roof of the house chanting "Allahu Akbar."

    Try the first snorkle/fins aquatweet.

Innovate! Get your RIM in action.

My we're a little petty this evening Aaron. Why be such a killjoy?

Jarrid having some man-love sympathy here…

A quick review of Blake's tweets indicate his ride in a paddleboat with PP is the highlight of the week.

    My favourite tweet:
"There's also a 97 yr old lady competing in the Javelin competition. Simply amazing!"

Watch where she points the spear Blake.

    GAG. Pierre Polievre? SICK

  • Sophie Allard

Honestly, give these people some slack. They work 24/7 for half what they would make in the private sector and as a bonus, they get criticised no matter what they do! If they want to do paddleboat with my tax money…then so be it!

    • Anon

For "half" what they would make in the private sector? Are you kidding me?

You think there is anybody in the private sector who would pay $300,000 to Pierre Polievre, or $500,000 to Rona Ambrose or James Moore or Dennis Coderre or ….?

      Or $800,000 to Stephen Harper?

Have you lost your mind, my dear?

…morning coffee sprayed all over my keyboard…….

Who knew there was so much money in used car sales. Del Mastro (former VP of his moms used car lot http://www.delmastro.ca/ ) should go back to the lot and spread his vision of Canada to customers looking for a good beater.

I will have to agree with Anon there. Most of these MPs did not go to law school, or have an MBA – where yes, they might have the potential to make that kind of money. But hellooo, who in Canada actually makes 300 000$? A doctor? (if they're surgeons), a partner in a top law firm? A CEO?

Most of the Mps are small time. They were farmers before and are now living the high life, on our taxes.

  • Richard Osborne

    Skippy has friends? Who knew.

  • Max

    Poor little rich pols.

If only they had been giving out more of those culture grants, this beautiful story could have become Brokeback Mountain, Part Deux and Kady could have played the part of the aggrieved Mrs. Polievre.

    Alas, it's not to be.

This just in from the PMOs office:

The rumour that Blake Richards and Pierre Poilievre were seen holding hands during the Ignatieff effigy burning event on the south lawn are UNtrue (not that there is anything wrong with that).

  • Greg

Ironically they probably could have saved money by getting a deal down in Vegas for their meeting.

Does no one find it a bit odd that a member of the federal government would be rubbing elbows so enthusiastically with a regional antifederalist/ sometime separatist?

I think the salary figures are wrong. I think they make about half of what is stated above.

    • Eva

      They make around 120 000$ + perks.
      Ministers make more.
