    I'm really irritated with racist comments of any kind, and this is no exception. I won't be watching the movie. I don't want to give my money to someone who thinks I don't have the right to "get it."

    The previous commenters are clearly ignorant idiots that can never understand the point of the film anyway so it wouldn’t matter if you guys were black, white or indian. The film far surpasses your intellect. Lee Daniels did not mean to be racist with his comment. He just stated his emotion. He didn’t set out for this movie to have the buzz that it did and obviously the only way for a movie to have this kind of buzz is if white folks understand it (that’s the only racist aspect here). Now that his film does have this buzz it takes away from it’s genuine story and it strips it of it’s original intentions.

    So for all you very immature and clearly intellectually inferior people out there, he’s not racist. He’s just annoyed that when ‘white’ people appreciate it, his intentions are lost.

    i guess this is a discussion only possible in the states. i would say dont see the movie if you feel offende, no body makes you see it. for my part i cant wait till it opnes in amsterdam.
