Did the FBI have Walter Cronkite under surveillance? It seems we’ll never know. The FBI did compile a file on the late CBS anchor, who died in July at the age of 92, but destroyed it two years ago. Researchers say it’s part of a disturbing trend.

Cronkite spoke out against the Vietnam War when it was politically incorrect to do. Viet Nam like Iraq was an unprovoked illegal invasion with needless death and carnage of many innocents. To state the truth that runs contrary to the mindset of the Military Industrial complex would at the very least result in sruntiny by the FBI.
We needed a Cronkite in the lead up to the Iraq invasion.
