The Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders owner once told an interviewer, "I'm not really a part of society." To the extent that he was referring to the polite society of fellow NFL franchise owners, he couldn't have been more correct. Perhaps no team owner has feuded with a league as much as Davis has with the NFL. Davis even went so far as to sue the NFL after it blocked his unilateral attempt to move his team from Oakland to Los Angeles, winning $35 million in damages.
