Though if Jack had of banged off a bad rendition of the Beatles in a suit that was obviously too small, it would have been comment mayhem

    • Michael

Are you kidding, Jack likes to go to Trekkie conventions. He likes playing dress up as Captain John Luc Picard .
What is your comment on that.

      • Dick Richards

In Canada, a trekkie outfit would recieve at least a 4 point bump in the pulls. I suspect he's holding out until the fall

    And day two. Still nothing.

Can I interpret from this that NDP support has no chance of significantly improving, given that it seems to exist independently of whatever the heck they actually do or say?

    • Rich

This will hurt Jack Layton with his base; and two If the LPC under Michael Ignatieff should rebound, some NDP support will revert back to the Liberals and some to the Conservatives.

    "And day two. Still nothing."

Your question is of course too simple. Some NDP supporters will be unhappy but never change their vote. No Conservative will vote NDP out of gratitude unhappy Liberals can do nothing vote-wise. The undecided won't care or remember the incident, so no effect there. Therefore it is a moot point … nothing like this will change the voting. Would it be a surprise to find the NDP did this with Liberal blessings as Iggy feels the need to act tough but is not ready to bring down a government?

Layton knows — if he votes down the Government–he is doomed!!! that's exactly why Iggy did –what he did– neither one– are fit 2 run anything!!! Neither have a plateform-agenda–policy–what do they stand 4–well- we know the N D P are socialists– who wants that–coalitions don't work–that's why– or will they bring in more taxes 2 fullfill promises!! Iggys intelleigence– shows-nothing–so far just talks above ev eryones head–has no definite plan 2 bring forward—just object -object -object! For heaven sakes- let the present Government –govern– & do their job–instead of wasting time & money on objections &going 2 the polls. this time around– if iggy doesn't get his way– he'll form coalition again–then you'll be sorry –out there– the socialists!!! Take Heed!!!!

Layton looked at the polls. That's all he did, this wasn't about working with the Government.I dont see how he thinks his big lies would pass us by.I don't think this will harm in the next election, but it also wont help him.He has pretty much reached his plateu, the same people just vote NDP over and over. But Layton himself looks foolish, on his latest horrible commercials, to his incessant whining that never ceases to stop.

    Nancy:

The small minded Harper and his low educated, mean spirited and evil Reform/Alliance Conservative syncophants want to turn Canada into a right wing paradise. "I'm ok, and if your not, screw you!' is the mantra of those idiots. Scarey? you bet and if they ever get power. look oute Canada, be very aware!
