Clearly, the author of this article does not know Chicago and its’ decades of corruption or maybe they are just an ardent Obama supporter. Our current governor is now impeached, the one before him is in federal prison. Having grown up in Chicago, I can personally attest to the fact that both political parties are rampant with wrongdoing. This is the culture of which our current president learned the political process. Out of the 50 wards in Chicago you cannot find one that at some point has not had its’ corruption scandal. If you want to succeed in politics in Chicago it is pay-to-play or nothing. Politics rule the day. You will see our president make a decision on Afghanistan as soon as two very important governor races (NJ, VA) are over and his decision on troop levels cannot adversely affect those races. I think the Chicago Sun-Times said it best and believe it or not it was done without words. A full front page picture( Aug 09) of the White House at night with the flood lights on and under the picture in two inch block letters “The 51st Ward”. That, unfortunately folks, says it best.

You completely missed the fact that the Daley Machine still runs Chicago, and Obama pressed for the Olympics on behalf of it. Obama's mentor Valerie Jarrett is and was a major Daley operative and slumlord who would have profited greatly from the Olympics.

Conservative pundits are expert at getting things terribly wrong but still have no problem finding a willing platform in the concentrated corporate MSM. Other media file stories like yours 'look at the silly monkeys' and they get even more exposure.
The hate is constantly flowing and this won't end well.
