Waterloo, Ontario – October 15, 2009 –

On Saturday, October 17, at 4pm EDT, Canada’s Perimeter Institute will make special announcements that involve Prof. Stephen Hawking. Media are invited to attend and obtain interviews.

    He was supposed to visit earlier in the year but alas as you stated he was ill.
    It's also Quantum to Cosmos time. Overlaps a few days with Oktoberfest!!
    Dr. Neil Turok executive director at PI and Stephen Hawking are homies as they developed the Hawking-Turok instanton solutions, but you probably knew that.

    If they take a picture holding a big cheque …….. to the moon Alice!

    He's appearing via multimedia. But surely re-announcing a future visit isn't the only possible newsworthy thing involving him.

    Paul, the rumor going around Waterloo for the last month is that Mike L. quietly has bought a place for Prof. Hawking at a retirement complex just down the street from Perimeter
