What scary Conservatives really look like

The Conservatives held their packed and fun Halloween party on the Hill. One of the best costumes was MP Rob Clarke (centre) seen here with his staff.

Pretty good selection of cute boys.

  2. jolyon says:

What do staffers do? Are they dogsbody or do they do proper work.

  3. MJ Patchouli says:

Whoa, those staffers are young! The spider kid still has zits (ewww, shot him a little too close up, Mitch). No wonder they still want to dress up for candy.

Also the very pretty young thang dressed as Hedy — a little too much cleavage for the work place, young lady. How will you be taken seriously, like Lisa Raitt and Rona?

  4. Foreigner says:

What? No Jack Layton in a turban? No Stephane Dion in a beret with a baguette? No Michael Ignatieff with a mortar board on his head, a chai latte in one hand and a boarding pass in the other?

Oh, well. At least a few managed to parody some of their adversaries by looking like sexual deviants.

  5. Cam says:

I can believe the Conservatives sanctioned an event with such blatant Satanistic overtones. Proof they have been in the Sodom of Ottawa far too long. Send them home.

and a Trekkie costume. Shocker there.

  6. OK, so we need to teach Stephen Taylor how to make and wrap a toga. Because he seriously looks like he was just thrown to the lions. Or maybe that's the costume? "Roman magistrate who recently displeased the Emperor"?

  7. Dot says:

I can remember little Stevie Taylor in grade one using that exact same white sheet when he showed up at our doorstep dressed as a ghost. Ooooh, scarrrry!

That was followed by ten years pretending to be a belligerent hockey player.

  8. Jim says:

not the best looking crew of folks eh?

  12. lgarvin says:

Well, not compared to you Jim.

  13. Guest says:

Making fun of politicians is one thing, but making fun of admin assistants and receptionists is kinda low.

  14. Foreigner says:

Who's Randy Hoback dressed up as? Gertrude Stein?

  15. Matt Ferg says:

and you know Taylor was thinking the toga would hide his gut. It didn't.

  16. Lord Kitchener's Own says:

I think "Stephen Taylor of http://www.bloggingtories.ca" is dressed up as "Stephen Taylor of http://www.macleans.ca".

  17. OntarioTown says:

Ya, right Cons – stay classy. Make fun of others. Can you imagine the mock outrage if say – we dressed up like the Tory caucus as a, let's see, a Weight Watchers meeting.

  18. Evalina says:

Yukc, you should have gone to a Liberal party. They are much better looking over there. And can't these Cons come up with better costumes than impersonating other parties? PATHETIC

  19. Owen says:

Looks like kind of a lame party; should've come to the GeoClub party in Winnipeg. Now that was a good time!

  20. Sam says:

They look a lot less scarier in those Halloween costumes!
