The review is dead-on BUT...you said it, it's a guilty pleasure! We laughed our heads off, almost cried at times, and my feet couldn't stop moving to the beat of the music. I doubt it will catch-on because it's a rock-and-roll movie dating back to its age of innocence. No match against 2012. But so fun and rewarding. And great acting too btw. Went to see it last night.
