« Le Québec a-t-il un avenir dans le Canada? »,

    Je ne sais pas.

Mais le Bloc a un avenir au parlement canadien, ça c'est certain.

Perhaps there might be a debate between a PQ proposal for sovereignty-association and a Quebec Liberal Party future proposal for associated-sovereignty.

I attended one meeting of Les Intellectuels pour la souveraineté, long ago now, before the 1995 referendum, as a reporter. The guest speaker was Jean Allaire. It never pays to set the bar too high for these things.

What was the topic? Could it have been « Le Québec a-t-il un avenir dans le Canada? »

I'm surprised they even phrased it as a question.

My favourite part was when somebody breathlessly reported to the room that Daniel Johnson had said Quebec was built by immigrants and everyone in Quebec was, in one way or the other, an immigrant. Oh, they all had a good laugh about that.

Its pretty funny that a conference for
    a) intellectuals, and
    b) seperatists
is scheduled during the Grey Cup. Allez, Le Beaker!
