Loose cannon!! Yeah right! The man risked hi neck for his country. Even Mulroney [ his boss] was careful to make that point. Besides it's not just Colvin's word...or are you only listening to the parts you like?

And you wonder why "whistle-blowers" seldom come forward? This sends out a clear signal - loud and clear.

If all it can get is 49 percent with guys like Wherry pumping it like their lives depended on it, the game is over. Unless there is another shoe to drop here, this one is gone.

And it will get much worse unless Colvin can prove this is based on something other than his personal suspicions real soon. Otherwise, as is suggested below, he may as well dust off his resume because no one, certainly not the Liberals if they are re-elected, is going to put a loose-cannon like him in anything that looks even vaguely like a responsible position again,

The issue is already dead, Con parrots? Not with poll numbers like this:

Another poll, showing overwhelming support for Colvin. These numbers partially (Nov 24, 25) take into account this week's circle the wagons routine in Committee, showing that the government has failed miserably, putting Colvin's "credibility" into question. Rarely do you see such a lopsided finding:

49% find Richard Colvin’s testimony credible; 10% side with federal government ministers

Five to one, find Colvin more credible than the government...this debate over a public inquiry isn't one the government is winning:. A majority of respondents (53%) support launching a public inquiry on what the government and the Canadian Forces knew about reports of prisoner torture in Afghanistan, while 36 per cent are opposed.

You're right. if anything, you are being too too kind, outside of a few over-heated imaginations, this issue is already dead.

And I'm assuming that, however it all plays out, Mr. Colvin is updating his CV.

"The issue will not go away"

Not with Wherry posting a dozen blogs a day anyway. Although I see the comments are getting pretty sparse now.

Unless Harper gets his majority. Then this matter might suddenly be against National Security to be discussed. Just wondering -- how many people think this is or isn't a possibility? Click + for agree or - for disagree.

It probably will go away, and be remembered by almost no one other than in laundry lists of supposed Tory evils. Like income trusts.
