Kiss caused airport scare

Newark airport was shut down because of man who slipped past security to kiss a woman goodbye

Video footage released today reveals that the security scare that shut down Newark airport for hours on Sunday and forced thousands of passengers to go through re-screening was caused by a man who snuck under a security cordon to kiss a woman goodbye. The man, who remains unidentified, was able to enter the secure area because a security officer had left his post. The officer is now on administrative leave and the Port Authority, the agency in charge of the airport, has been severely criticized for allowing the security breach, which happened only just over a week after the attempted bombing of an American airliner on Christmas day.

Rats – I was hoping this post was about KISS the band – like maybe Gene in full kabuki makeup being body scanned or something!

But Gene's kiss would've been all tongue. Ick.

If anyone had any doubts about the effectiveness of terrorism, this story should dissolve that doubt. It's a pretty grim conclusion but I'm starting to think we'll need an open conflict within our country to reinstate a little perspective in the paranoid demographic's demand.

    THAT'S IT!!
THE TSA NEVER SHOULD HAVE LET KISS INTO THE AIRPORT!! ESPECIALLY AFTER THAT GODAWFUL 'KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE PARK'!
DO YOUR JOB TSA! CAN YOU IMAGINE IF PAUL STANLEY HAD BEEN ABLE TO SNEAK THAT MOVIE IN AND GET IT TO PLAY ON AN INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT? THE PEOPLE WOULD HAVE BLOWN THE PLANE UP THEMSELVES!

I disagree Andre, it is the response of the US government that is causing terrorism to be so effective. The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

As noted elsewhere on this site… ONE terrorist attempt, and NO deaths… in over 16 million flights…

You have a much higher chance of being killed by faulty mechanical parts or shoddy maintenance than from a terrorist. Have the maintenance schedules for planes been increased? Geeee why not? Are those deaths 'acceptable'? Clearly it would save MORE lives to spend the money on increased maintenance schedules (in some countries) than on xray scanners.

Where have all the real reporters and journalists gone?????

I will be right back, I need to go look at the terror threat christmas tree on faux news to see how frightened I should be today.
