Stephen Harper, possibly a human being

by Aaron Wherry on Friday, August 27, 2010 12:43pm - 0 Comments

In the wake of Stephen Harper dancing, CTV and the Star consider the larger meaning and wider ramifications. CTV links this week’s vaguely rhythmic movement with Mr. Harper’s not-quite-in-tune singing ten months ago to suggest some sort of trend.

Stephen Harper is a stage magician, trying to create his world of illusion, except he has absolutely nothing up his sleeves to do it with.

It's not just politicians who are starting to let their hair down. Columnists are doing it too!

Crit_Reasoning…..I like Paul Wells new look.

    • john g

I'll tell you what. If Wells shows up at the PM's next press conference looking like that and puts his name on the list, I'll bet dollars to doughnuts he gets a question.

    • DerekPearce

HAH! Oh god that made my afternoon. The expression is what makes it.

      • Claudia Lemire

        The expression is priceless!

I especially like the plump, sexy lips. Very kissable! If I didn't know better, I'd think Botox was involved. ;-)

          • Claudia Lemire

Hahaha, they are very plump, it does make you wonder : )

This seems a very odd and curious statement, coming from a frog.

          • Crit_Reasoning

I haven't always been a frog. I used to be a prince, until a wicked witch kissed me.

          • Claudia Lemire

I sure hope it wasn't this witch, hahaha…

      I'm traumatized.

  • no more non-partisan

Wherry's vaguely literate, not-quite-right-in-the-head observations suggest some sort of trend.

    • Bob

      Seconded.

    • Olaf

      Thirded.

      • Stewart_Smith

Well I think that settles it. I have met bob and you sir are no bob.

        • Olaf

Quite evidently. Assuming (as always) that X=R/smileyface to the power of omega, and the fact that a) the green liquid in this Erlenmeyer flask is bubbling and smoking, b) the bunsen burner is on low I'm still feeling pretty dizzy, and c) this geiger counter reads 19, I can only conclude the following: everyone hates no more non-partisan, likes Bob, where as about half of the people like me and the other half don't know what they're missing.

          • Stewart_Smith

The bold Olaf outdone by the milquetoast bob. A name that is the same both coming & going, no less. Could be a hairdo, could be floating in the water, indeed the very root of bobble head.

          • Bob

            Hey! I resemble that remark.

  • Olaf

I'm running a super-scientific experiment in the comment below to try to shed some light on this perplexing state of events. Lets see what happens.

    • john g

Hey super-science guy, your ID account skews the results by starting you at +1.

      • Olaf

Shut up non-scientist, you're wrecking the experiment!

  • Claudia Lemire

I loved Trudeau picture he was the original "Yeah baby, yeah" and PM Harper is as gracious as the Hippos in the movie "Fantasia, Dance of the hours"
