The current president of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, and a former aide to Reform leader Preston Manning, laments the use of taxpayer dollars to promote the candidacy of the former president of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, who was a former aide to Stephen Harper, who was formerly the chief policy officer of Preston Manning’s Reform party.

Like I keep saying: Stephen Harper way back helped create the Reform Party because of Stephen Harper today.

Williamson should be ashamed of himself, and he should pay that back rfn. CTF = no credibility with this kind of crap.

CTF = no credibility with this kind of crap.

Read Aaron's short post again, then. The current president of the CTF is condemning it.

      • Matlock

Well, the current CTF president will condemn it until he is tapped to run for the Tories in the next election, and then unashamedly flip flop. (…. just going on the precedent here).

Making him pay it back just means its OK until you're caught. Surely some sort of penalty should be imposed?

I wonder what Jason Kenney, former head of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation might have to add.

      A generous campaign donation?

Another former Harper aide .. Kevin Lacey … is the CTF guy in the Maritimes .. after having
campaign managed the NS Tories to a resounding defeat last year. These guys have their
    own mutual welfare club going.

A nomination meeting at which the candidates aren't permitted to speak? So Members of Parliament and Ministers aren't supposed to go off script, candidates for election are managed and hidden from view (no candidates forum, no talking to the media) and now riding associations are having nomination meetings where the nominees don't speak! Conservative members, are you going to just allow this, or are you completely whipped too?

John -if this is true – shame on you – you know better. You publically stood against this stuff for years. Your professional integrity is being called into question and I for one am just as concerned about that integrity as I am about party policies. If the integrity isn't there, then quite frankly the promises don't mean a damn.

Isn't that your signature beside Dalton McGuinty's on the Ontario Taxpayer Pledge?

If I didn't know better, I would almost think you were working for Jack Layton
