Prince William to marry Kate Middleton

After much speculation, the second in line to the throne announces he’ll be tying the knot

Waity Katie will wait no more. Prince William, who will be Prince of Wales if Charles ever gets a shot at the throne, announced on Tuesday his engagement to longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton. No date has been announced yet for the wedding, though it will take place in spring or summer of 2011. William and Kate have been “on again and off again” for the last eight years; both are twenty-eight years old.

    Well isn't it just hard as granite to take any celebrity marriage at face value anymore– Hollywood or Royal these days. If they both truly believe in it, great. I'm saving my cynicism– not against them as couple, good for them, but wider, for further down in the discussion.

    I dont hold out much hope, and after spending 40 million, you would think the UK would be guaranteed hope!

    Yes, William will become a great king…..he is honoring his mother which shows that he cares and understands. This makes for a great individual…..
    They are a great couple and will bring back honor to royals again……..M.J.
