According to the Iranian foreign ministry statement, the crime rate has soared in Canada recently, hence Iranian visitors may fall victim to various crimes in that country.
Perhaps Stock was getting his intel from the same source.

It appears that Iran has mistaken our usual level of police incompetence and indifference for a deliberate policy.

Our treatment of 15 year old Khadr is well known globally, and a glance through any comment section of the media in Canada shows an unprecedented amount of racism and pure venom.

The whole country gets it's panties in a bunch because two women show up in veils to vote.

A Quebec town feels it necessary to issue a silly proclamation about what it will and won't allow….while having not one Muslim in the place.

The govt goes so far as to say we will regard an attack on Israel as an attack on Canada, and respond accordingly.

We went right along with Bush's pronouncement about 'an axis of evil' , and in fact the man who came up with the phrase is a Canadian.

Then we wonder why people watching all this from Iran see us as a potentially dangerous country they shouldn't visit??
