Cookie Joke, Cookie Joke, Cookie Joke

I try not to post two Filler Clips™ in a row, but this clip was released today, and all TV-related blogs are required by law to a) post it and b) point out that it’s more entertaining — or at least more concise — than most real episodes of the real Saturday Night Live.

Thanks, C_R. That's what I was expecting when I saw "Cookie Joke." Dr. Duckett's wasn't all that funny though, was it?

      • Crit_Reasoning

        I wasn't amused.

Was the chip to cookie ratio sufficient? Any word on where he got the cookie from? Was it a <gasp> Starbuck's cookie?

        • snaardvark

Wow. What an idiot. Bigshot honcho with absolutely no PR training. Or, for that matter, a lick of common sense.

Or was the media offended that they weren't treated like supreme beings.
Does 'PR' translate out to the media is all powerful?
Wasn't there a statement to be released later that day on the issues?

        • madeyoulook

"I appreciate your concern. I share them. In fact, my job is to deal with exactly these concerns every day. We are preparing an informative response to these important concerns. Please attend the media briefing later today. After a short address, I will of course answer any and all questions. See you there."
          or
"Can't you see I am still eating my cookie?"

Now, I am no PR expert or anything, but…

This would be a vast improvement compared to the modern SNL.
The show was worth watching in the '70s, '80s, and part of the '90s.
Now, it's not quite as funny as Beetle Bailey. Which is not even remotely funny.
