If you can read French or figure out Google Translate, you may enjoy the counterintuitive spectacle of the Bloc Québécois criticizing the Conservatives because their sissified lassitude on criminal sentencing guidelines has allowed a highly destructive criminal to go free.

C'mon, Colby, it's not like some minor thing like rape or murder or armed robbery, where truth in sentencing is just a pander to the heartless neocon thugs — this guy swindled money! More prisons for nonviolent offenders! Toot sweet! Oh, along with five billion for Quebec. Merci bcp.

If you can read French or figure out Google Translate…

Do you mean to tell me there is a federal party that does not release its announcements in both official languages? Quelle honte!

This is pretty freaking hilarious. The BQ is upset that their private member's bill was ignored.

At least its comforting to know that there are some criminals that the BQ doesnt want to embrace and rehabilitate.

Does anybody understand Canadian politics any longer??

    I sure as hell don't.

Btw: why does Maclean have mostly male writers (something like 99%). Strange.

Does Maclean's have 100 writers of whom 1 is female, or is somebody on the masthead a fraction of a female? Where's the Walrus when we need it?
