    Also, increase the tax credit for a spouse to $40,000 instead of allowing income splitting for $1,000,000+ earners.

    Just think, people making less than the poverty line in Canada probably paid more tax than a major chartered bank. Looks like the CRAP strategy is working.

    I truly believe that post secondary education should be subsidized or entirely free, contingent upon meeting certain standards. It is this scholastic debt that needlessly cripples students-turned-workers for far too many years. Also, in these relatively healthy years, young adults should pay dramatically less than their well-established elders whose salaries often dwarf theirs but whose declining health is a greater drain on the system. Give students and young adults a break!

    I agree. Elementary and secondary education are free. Tertiary education should be as well….especially in the knowledge age.
