Ford Canada, the automaker, has asked Toronto Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti to remove its “Built Ford Tough” logo from a Facebook page supporting Toronto mayor Rob Ford’s administration. A Ford car spokesman says the company received about a dozen calls from people upset with the unauthorized use of the Ford logo. Giorgio Mammoliti’s Facebook page has been the ire of many Torontians lately, as it promises to block “communists” from its membership list. Mammoliti, once an NDP MPP, has expressed concerns lately about people he believes to be communist making deputations at City Council meetings.

It should be noted that Mammoliti is as of this moment ignoring Ford’s (the motor company) request. The logo is still up.

What is particularly ironic is that Rob Ford is not building anything. In fact he is trying his toughest to dismantle a whole lot.

Commies? OH NOOOOO… It seems ‘borrowing’ copyrighted logo’s isn’t the only thing that was imported from the good old USA for this campaign. Rob … how about a few ‘christmas tree’ lights for added fear factor? Maybe a robot running rampant all over the page stating “Warning Will Robinson Warning!!!” Be sure to use all of the buzz words that society has been programmed to fear not just a select few.
I guess if you can’t win an election on merit or platform that the fear factor is the next best thing… no wait…what am I saying, how stupid of me. Fear is the ONLY way to win!!! The Commies are coming! … the Commies are coming!

oops… – Rob + George (just for the special people that will pick it out as something that relegates the opinion to the level of the error)

Wowsa, this is just as entertaining as mckay sounding the alarm about the russians coming! Those cons, can’t accuse them of lacking imagination. The fear-driven kind anyways.
