On pointlessness

Julian Fantino, the associate minister of defence, responding to a question this morning about Peter MacKay’s helicopter ride.

There is no point in repeating the same response which is that he used the aircraft while on vacation to fulfill requirements to do with his job.

    Or like McParland said:

‘Peter MacKay has his cockamamie helicopter story and he’s sticking to it’

      ROTFLMAO!

This may be the first point of agreement I’ve had with a Tory statement in some time.

“There is no point in repeating the same response which is that he used the aircraft while on vacation to fulfill requirements to do with his job.”

Well there is the rather obvious one of not allowing ministers to lie to the house. Fantino is using the gangster version of no point in this case then? I wonder if it was actually intended to be read that way? My take on Fantino is that he isn’t smart enough to know there’s a difference.

Fantino’s right, it is pointless to repeat the statment.

Because nobody paying any attention believes it anyway.

It is pointless to repeat same question same answer over and over.

If Opps are not going to take the issue to the next level,
the media can’t do it for them.

What next level? There’s a ‘next level’? With the old minority government, there might have been a ‘next level’, but not now. If the Conservatives circle the wagons rather than punish the guy themselves, there’s no ‘next level.’

If I’m a dummy (very possible) and there is a ‘next level’, please enlighten me.

One line.  Hope he didn’t have to look down at his cheat sheet to spout it off.

He always has his instructions – even for the F 35 which he must now have repeated a hundred times.

Talking point memo – Harper just said the same thing.  LOL
