KITCHENER, Ont. – The woman serving a life sentence for the first-degree murder of Tori Stafford has pleaded guilty to beating up another inmate.
Terri-Lynne McClintic, 22, was facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm in Kitchener, Ont., but instead pleaded guilty today to assault.
McClintic pleaded guilty in 2010 to the first-degree murder of eight-year-old Tori Stafford, from Woodstock, Ont.
She admits attacking another inmate by punching her in the head during a peer support meeting then kicking her while the woman was in the fetal position on the ground.
Ontario Court Judge Colin Westman sentenced McClintic to six months, which runs concurrently with her life sentence.
He says he hopes she can find some peace and learn how to act civilly toward her fellow human beings.
