Takin’ a Train

A long time ago, I used to joke that all of Canadian politics could be explained in terms of “Jem” songs. Then “Jem” got popular again, and it no longer seemed an obscure enough reference, so I retired it. If you don’t step aside?
    Clash!
    Look out, we’re comin’ through,
    Better run somewhere and hide!

Speaking of videos that represent the crisis, did anyone get a “Checkers Speech” vibe from Harper last night — I don’t mean the words, I mean the visuals and the attempt to sound emotional and soothing when it doesn’t come naturally to him.
